Beyond Every Cup

Our matcha comes from family-run tea farms in Shizuoka, Japan, where generations of knowledge and craftsmanship have been passed down over time. Today, many Japanese tea farms face an uncertain future due to an aging workforce and a lack of successors. That’s why we care about who grows our tea, where it comes from, and how it is made. By bringing carefully grown Japanese matcha to more people around the world, we hope every cup can help carry Japan’s tea culture into the next generation. Behind every cup is a farmer, a place, and a tradition worth preserving.

Two Japanese Sisters, Bridging Matcha Across Borders

A Reverse Import Story: Built Abroad, Returned to Japan We left Japan at 13 and started our first business overseas, with no experience, just curiosity and persistence. What drove us was simple: to share the stories of tea farmers with the world. During a visit back to Japan, we saw a different reality. Tea demand was declining. Farmers were aging. Many had no one to continue their work. We didn’t want to just sell matcha. We wanted to create something that could support the people behind it. So we started small. A matcha café with only a few seats. A space to connect people with the story behind each cup. Today, that idea has grown into five locations, still rooted in the same purpose
